Zhang Keyuan is a theater director, performance artist, and curator from China, currently based in London. Zhang graduated with a BA in Drama Performance from Shanghai Normal University and an MA in Theater Directing from the Shanghai Theatre Academy and an MA in Theatre and Performance Studies and Critical Cultural Studies at King's College London.

Zhang's artistic creation is a journey of escapism that starts from realism. During his undergraduate studies, he focused on learning and practicing the Stanislavski performance system. At the Shanghai Theatre Academy, he expanded into broader theatrical experiments, creating a series of theater works that emphasize physicality, immediacy, and participation. Now, at King's College London, he is dedicated to exploring the intersection of exhibitions and theater, aiming to discover a closer connection and practical integration between performance art and theatrical performance.

Zhang's works have been featured in prestigious festivals including the International Festival of Theater Schools of the BRICS Countries, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Florence Biennale, the Shanghai International Arts Festival Young Artists Creative Week, the Shanghai International Small Theater Festival, the Nanluoguxiang Theater Festival, the Daliangshan International Theater Festival, and the Aranya Theater Festival Migratory Birds 300 Plan.

Zhang's directorial work Picasso2033 was recently nominated for the Best Show in the Asian Art Award at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
